Cardiac Rehabilitation
Cardiac rehab is a customized outpatient program of exercise and education. The program is designed to improve your health and help you recover from a heart attack, and other forms of heart disease, or surgery to treat heart disease.
Cardiac rehab involves an exercise training, emotional support, and education on ways of preventing heart disease risk, such as heart healthy eating, health weight maintenance, and quitting smoking.
Goals in cardiac rehab are to establish a plan to help you regain your strength, prevents worsening of your condition, reduce future heart risk, improves your health, and quality of life.
