We are seeking a dependable and customer-focused Dietary Cook/Aide to join our Dietary Services team. This position is responsible for preparing and serving meals for patients, staff, and visitors, maintaining kitchen sanitation, assisting with tray line operations, and supporting daily food service activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve meals according to menus and recipes.
- Assemble patient meal trays and follow diet orders.
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
- Maintain clean and sanitary food preparation and service areas.
- Assist with stocking, inventory rotation, and food storage.
- Deliver meals and food carts as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment with varying temperatures.
- Sufficient visual, hearing, and manual dexterity to safely perform job duties.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Food service or healthcare dietary experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Strong customer service and teamwork skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
