Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Registered/Certified Pharmacy Technician to support the daily operations of our pharmacy department. Under the supervision of a pharmacist, you will assist with prescription processing, inventory management, customer service, and medication preparation while ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with all applicable regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers and assist with prescription-related questions.
- Receive, process, and enter prescription information accurately.
- Resolve insurance claim issues and prescription discrepancies.
- Prepare medications and labels under pharmacist supervision.
- Maintain inventory, stock medications, and monitor expiration dates.
- Keep accurate pharmacy records and maintain a clean work area.
- Follow HIPAA requirements and all hospital policies and procedures.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Pharmacy Technician registration or certification
- Strong communication, customer service, and computer skills.
- Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
- Previous pharmacy or healthcare experience preferred.
