Sullivan County Memorial Hospital is seeking a compassionate and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Physicians’ Clinic team. This position provides direct patient care, supports outpatient and specialty clinic operations, and works closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and visiting specialists to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. The LPN will also assist with specialty clinic coordination and provide backup support for Utilization Review and Outpatient Services as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for appointments and procedures; obtain vital signs, medical histories, and other clinical information.
- Assist providers with examinations, treatments, and procedures.
- Administer medications, injections, and immunizations as ordered.
- Perform phlebotomy, specimen collection, and point-of-care testing.
- Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Communicate patient results and provider instructions according to clinic protocols.
- Coordinate referrals, specialty appointments, insurance authorizations, and follow-up care.
- Prepare examination rooms, equipment, and supplies for patient visits and specialty clinics.
- Provide backup support for utilization review and outpatient services as assigned.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with applicable nursing regulations, safety standards, and organizational policies.
- Provide excellent customer service and collaborate with the healthcare team.

Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.
- Current Missouri LPN license in good standing.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong communication, organizational, and patient care skills.
Preferred: Outpatient or specialty clinic experience; ACLS or PALS certification.
